Virtual Golden Plains Farmers’ Market

July 4, 2020 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Free

With the popular monthly Golden Plains Farmers’ Market currently cancelled due to COVID-19, Council has launched a new online resource to keep market vendors connected with buyers.

The Golden Plains Virtual Farmers’ Market will give lovers of fresh produce, products and handcrafted goods the ability to stock up on all their favourite items they have been missing while the market has been closed. This new initiative is part of Golden Plains Shire Council’s Be Kind to Business campaign, which is encouraging residents to support the Shire’s local businesses that are still trading.

The virtual market features the contact details of the regular market stallholders on the Be Kind to Business online business listing, allowing customers to contact and buy directly from these vendors. The Be Kind to Business page and Golden Plains Virtual Farmers’ Market can be found at goldenplains.vic.gov.au/business/be-kind-business.

Following the Covid-19 Pandemic the market will be back in business:

The Golden Plains Farmers’ Market in Bannockburn takes place on the first Saturday of each month (except Jan) from 8.30am to 12.30pm and is a genuine growers and makers market.

The market showcases a fantastic range of farm-fresh, locally grown and handcrafted goods and provides a relaxed, country atmosphere for families and friends to shop and have a bite to eat.

Bannockburn is a lovely small town just north of Geelong and the market offers a lively atmosphere for visitors of all ages with live music, family entertainment, espresso coffee, freshly baked pastries and so much more!

Come and get to know your local farmers and artisans!
